Schlemmer’s Ballet Put on a Platter For Your Pleasure and Enjoyment

After conducting extensive research into biopolitics and health at the Bauhaus School of Design, Oskar Schlemmer's theater explorations were juxtaposed with the pervasive doctrines followed by Masters like Johannes Itten, whose classes included gymnastic exercises, diets of garlic and cabbage, and group enemas. The project reached an audience of several hundreds of attendees at the Berlin Floating University who learned about food and bodies at the Bauhaus through a game involving confessions, meditation, and other exercises.
