The 2022–2024 lecture series at CU Denver College of Architecture and Planning featured architectural historians, architects, landscape architects, urban designers, urban planners, artists, and curators who addressed multi-scalar topics through contemporary practices. The fall 2022 series reflected on the historical, sociopolitical, and ecological stakes of material expressions. The spring 2023 series considered new practices of architecture that speculate on survival and adaptation strategies for uncertain futures, looking at the ongoing ecological and climate crises as sites for experimentation. The fall 2023 series explored the materials, forms, audiences, and agencies that shape history, speculation, and applied practice.
